A nurse-led clinic moved off Wix, with its own back office

By Measured 6 September 2026

A nurse-led aesthetic clinic in Rossendale whose Wix site was mostly invisible to Google. We rebuilt it as a fast, compliant Next.js site with 160-plus pages, and built the clinic its own back office for enquiries and before-and-after results, so the practitioner runs the site herself.

Rebuild plus ongoing retainer

What this engagement was. A rebuild plus an ongoing retainer, launched at the start of September 2026. The indexing figure is read from the client’s Search Console and compares the old Wix site with the new one a week after launch; it is a coverage figure, not a traffic one. No traffic, ranking or enquiry claim is made until a full month has been measured. How every figure here is measured.

The problem

What we were up against.

The old Wix site had roughly 120 URLs and Google had indexed a handful of them. Service URLs served the wrong treatment, sixty-odd unattributed blog posts on medical topics were a regulatory risk as well as a search one, and the homepage shipped over five megabytes of JavaScript. The practitioner is genuinely differentiated — a registered critical care nurse with advanced anatomy training — and none of that reached the page.

The work

What I actually did.

  1. Rebuilt the site on Next.js, statically rendered and hosted on Vercel, with one honest URL per treatment and redirects from every old address that Google still held.
  2. Wrote the treatment, pricing, safety and guide pages around what the practitioner can actually evidence, and removed prescription-only medicine brand names from public copy, URLs and images to comply with UK advertising rules.
  3. Built the clinic a back office of its own: a passcode login, an enquiries inbox, and a results uploader that publishes before-and-after cases straight to the treatment pages, with no CMS licence to pay for.
  4. Gated the enquiry form with a date of birth, because it has been an offence in England since 2021 to arrange injectable cosmetic treatment for anyone under 18.
  5. Set the review programme up around the two-week review appointment, when the result is visible, because reviews are the strongest local search signal the clinic has.

The outcome

Within a week of launch Google had indexed four in five pages, against one in thirty on the old site. Traffic and enquiry figures will be reported once there is a full month behind them.
