Web Design Salford

By Measured 4 September 2026

Salford is a small search market and an almost completely undefended one. This page publishes the numbers, including the part where the numbers are modest.

Pricing

from £500

for the build, then from £50 a month hosting & care.

The same three numbers wherever you are. No setup fee, no minimum term.

What a website costs

Cybrial is a Manchester studio, and Salford is next door. The search data below was pulled first-hand — including the part where it is modest.

The work, and who it is for in Salford

Salford spans MediaCityUK and the Quays at one end and Eccles, Swinton, Walkden and Irlam at the other — a genuinely mixed base of media and creative businesses, professional services, trades, logistics and independent retail, with very different needs at each end.

For the trades and services, the shape is Pro Pave: a page for each service and each area, an obvious enquiry route, and a build fast enough to survive being opened on mobile data at a job. For the creative and media end, the expectations on design are higher and the page count is usually lower.

Either way the practical advice is the same and it is slightly against my own interest: for a Salford business, being visible in Manchester searches matters more than being visible in Salford ones, and your Google Business Profile does more of that work than any page I could build.

And before any website work at all: the Google Business Profile. It is free, it takes an afternoon, and for a local business it decides the map pack that sits above every result a website can win. That is an awkward thing to put on a web designer’s page and it is still the right first move.

What you get, and what it costs

The same three numbers as everybody else, published rather than quoted on request: from £500 for the build, from £50 a month for hosting and care, and growth blocks from £250 a month if and when the site should start earning more. No setup fee, no management fee, no percentage of ad spend, and no minimum term on anything.

  • A bespoke build rather than a page-builder assembly, so the site is fast on a phone rather than fast on your laptop.
  • A page for each service and each area you actually sell in, so every search has somewhere of its own to land instead of competing with the homepage.
  • Editable by you, with a walkthrough at handover.
  • The domain in your name and the hosting in your account, with a full working copy if you ever leave.
  • Titles, structure and metadata written around the searches your customers actually run — not around a keyword dump.

Straight answers

Questions about working in Salford.

Why is Salford search volume so low?

Because Salford businesses search for Manchester suppliers — the city term is absorbed by the one next door. About 210 searches a month across every Salford term, against 5,890 for Manchester. That is normal behaviour, not a data error.

So should a Salford business target Manchester terms?

Mostly yes, alongside the map pack for your own postcode and the service-plus-area long tail. The Salford terms themselves are almost free to pick up and worth having, but they are not where the work will come from.

Do you work in Salford?

Yes — Cybrial is a Manchester studio and Salford is next door. There are clients across Greater Manchester and the prices and terms are the same wherever you are.
