Web Design Lincoln

By Measured 4 October 2026

Lincoln is two businesses in one city. There is the cathedral-and-university side — tourism, hospitality, retail up Steep Hill — and there is the county: agri-tech, food production and an engineering base with Siemens Energy at its centre. They need opposite things from a website.

Pricing

from £500

for the build, then from £50 a month hosting & care.

The same three numbers wherever you are. No setup fee, no minimum term.

What a website costs

Cybrial is a one-person studio in Manchester. There is no Lincoln office. The figures below were pulled first-hand for the city on 4 October 2026 and everything on this page is read off them.

The work, and who it is for in Lincoln

The economy is a particular shape and it changes the brief. Lincoln is a cathedral and university city with a large visitor economy, sitting in the middle of one of the most agricultural counties in England, with a serious agri-tech and food-production sector and an engineering base with Siemens Energy at its centre. That means two very different kinds of website in the same city: hospitality and retail that live or die on a phone screen in the Bailgate, and B2B engineering and agri-supply firms whose sites are being read by procurement rather than by passers-by.

For the second group the advice inverts. Design matters less; proof matters more. A named client list, measured figures, real certifications and a human being with a phone number will beat a prettier site that says “bespoke solutions” four times. For the first group it is the opposite, and the single highest-value thing is usually the Google Business Profile rather than anything on the site at all.

The nearest comparable work is CFC Wedding Lists — a family furniture retailer in Cookstown trading since 1972, where a gift-list platform had to be written rather than configured because two audiences who never meet were using the same data for opposite reasons. Lincoln businesses with a booking, a tour or a seasonal product usually have a version of that problem, and it is the kind of thing a page builder cannot do.

Worth saying plainly rather than hoping you do not ask: I am in Manchester, not Lincoln. There is no local office and this page does not pretend there is one. Two builds in Northern Ireland and one in the Republic of Ireland have run entirely remotely without difficulty, and what you should insist on from any remote supplier is the same list I would insist on — the domain registered in your name, the hosting in your own account, a full working copy of the site if you ever leave, and no exit fee. All four are standard here and they are written down on the pricing page.

And before any website work at all: the Google Business Profile. It is free, it takes an afternoon, and for a local business it decides the map pack that sits above every result a website can win. That is an awkward thing to put on a web designer’s page and it is still the right first move.

What you get, and what it costs

The same three numbers as everybody else, published rather than quoted on request: from £500 for the build, from £50 a month for hosting and care, and growth blocks from £250 a month if and when the site should start earning more. No setup fee, no management fee, no percentage of ad spend, and no minimum term on anything.

  • A bespoke build rather than a page-builder assembly, so the site is fast on a phone rather than fast on your laptop.
  • A page for each service and each area you actually sell in, so every search has somewhere of its own to land instead of competing with the homepage.
  • Editable by you, with a walkthrough at handover.
  • The domain in your name and the hosting in your account, with a full working copy if you ever leave.
  • Titles, structure and metadata written around the searches your customers actually run — not around a keyword dump.

Straight answers

Questions about working in Lincoln.

Can a Lincoln business realistically rank for “web design lincoln”?

That is a genuinely different answer from the one this site gives for Manchester, Bristol or Belfast, where the same term sits in the 70s and 80s.

We sell to farms and food producers, not the public.

Then the map pack matters far less and the proof matters far more. The site is being checked by someone deciding whether you are a safe supplier, so named clients, measured figures, certifications and a real contact do more work than the design does.

Are you in Lincoln?

No, Manchester, and the page says so rather than implying a local office. Builds have run remotely as far as Cookstown and Dublin. The domain stays in your name and the hosting in your account either way.

What does it cost?

From £500 for the build, from £50 a month for hosting and care, growth blocks from £250 a month if and when you want them. Published prices, no setup fee, no minimum term.
