Blackpool is dominated by the visitor trade — hospitality, attractions, accommodation and an enormous seasonal swing — with a large public sector and a growing energy and offshore presence on the Fylde behind it. For the accommodation half, the site has one job: the direct booking.

What a website costsCybrial is a one-person studio in Manchester, an hour up the M55. There is no Blackpool office. The town’s measured data from 4 October 2026 is below.
Blackpool’s economy is dominated by the visitor trade — hospitality, attractions, accommodation and the enormous seasonal swing that goes with it — plus a large public sector, a growing energy and offshore services presence on the Fylde, and the independent retail and services that serve 140,000 residents as well as the visitors. For the hospitality half, the single highest-value thing is not the website: it is the Google Business Profile, the photographs in it, the review count and the opening hours, because a visitor choosing where to eat is choosing from a map on a phone and will never reach your homepage.
For the accommodation half, the website’s one job is to win the direct booking back off the platform that took fifteen per cent of it. The nearest comparable work is Roch Sweets — a family confectioner where standard e-commerce could not model how the product is actually bought, so the buying journey was written rather than configured. Seaside accommodation and attractions have the same shape of problem with dates, parties and add-ons.
Worth saying plainly rather than hoping you do not ask: I am in Manchester, not Blackpool. There is no local office and this page does not pretend there is one. Two builds in Northern Ireland and one in the Republic of Ireland have run entirely remotely without difficulty, and what you should insist on from any remote supplier is the same list I would insist on — the domain registered in your name, the hosting in your own account, a full working copy of the site if you ever leave, and no exit fee. All four are standard here and they are written down on the pricing page.
And before any website work at all: the Google Business Profile. It is free, it takes an afternoon, and for a local business it decides the map pack that sits above every result a website can win. That is an awkward thing to put on a web designer’s page and it is still the right first move.
The same three numbers as everybody else, published rather than quoted on request: from £500 for the build, from £50 a month for hosting and care, and growth blocks from £250 a month if and when the site should start earning more. No setup fee, no management fee, no percentage of ad spend, and no minimum term on anything.

Straight answers
It is what came back for “website design blackpool” on 4 October 2026, next to £8.94 for the near-identical phrase. At this volume the ad auction is very thin and prices get strange. The difficulty figures underneath are the ones to plan on.
Winning the direct booking. If a guest finds you on a platform and books through it, you have paid a commission for a customer who was already yours. A fast page with real availability and the real price in one tap usually earns more than anything else you could change.
Then build in the quiet months so the site is finished and indexed before the season, and spend the pre-season weeks on the Google Business Profile, the photographs and the reviews rather than on the website itself.
No — Manchester, about an hour up the M55, and this page says so rather than implying a local office.
Tell me what you sell, who buys it, and what the current site is not doing. You get a straight reply from Simon — what I would build, what it costs, and what I would do first.
