A gym, a studio and a personal trainer sell three different things, and most fitness websites are built as though they were the same business. That is unusual, and it changes what is worth doing first.

from £500
for the build, then from £50 a month hosting & care.
The same three numbers in every sector. No setup fee, no minimum term.
What a website costsCybrial is a Manchester studio working with a small number of businesses at a time. There is no gym on the client list, so this page leads with the market and with the nearest comparable work — a local, appointment-led business in Lancashire.
The timetable is the most-wanted thing on the site and it is usually a photograph of a spreadsheet, or a PDF, or an embedded widget that renders as a blank box on a phone. All three are invisible to Google, which means the one page that could rank for every class name you teach ranks for none of them. Real pages per class and per instructor are the single biggest unforced error in this sector.
The site is built as a brochure when its only job is the first session. Everything that matters is the trial, the taster, the free week, the consultation — and the route to it competes with a photo gallery, a membership price grid and a page about the owner’s journey. A gym website converts on one action and most of them offer nine.
Then there is where these searches actually resolve. Somebody looking for a gym near them gets a map before they get a list of websites, so the Google Business Profile — hours, photos, reviews, the right category — decides more of this than the site does. That is an awkward thing for a web studio to put in writing and it is still the first thing to fix.
The transferable build is Charis Aesthetics, a local practice in Rossendale where the whole site exists to convert a local search into a booked first appointment. It loads completely in 0.38 seconds, went from roughly three per cent of its pages indexed to eighty within a week, and the practitioner publishes her own results and manages her own enquiries without paying for a CMS.
What this page cannot show is a gym. There is not one on the client list, and the sector data above is research rather than a result we have produced for somebody in it.
The same three numbers as every other page on this site: from £500 for the build, from £50 a month for hosting and care, and growth blocks from £250 a month when you want the site to earn more. No setup fee, no management fee, no percentage of ad spend, no minimum term.

A nurse-led aesthetic clinic in Rossendale whose Wix site was mostly invisible to Google. We rebuilt it as a fast, compliant Next.js site with 160-plus pages, and built the clinic its own back office for enquiries and before-and-after results, so the practitioner runs the site herself.
Straight answers
Not yet, and this page says so. The nearest comparable work is Charis Aesthetics, a local appointment-led practice in Rossendale — the same job of turning a local search into a booked first session.
Less than almost anything else we have measured. The hard part is not competition, it is that most gym sites hide their timetable in an image and never get indexed for the classes they teach.
Usually, and the thing to watch is whether the widget renders as real content or as a blank box to Google. Where a system cannot be indexed, the fix is real pages for each class and instructor that link into the booking tool, so the content ranks even though the booking engine does not.
The Google Business Profile, before anything on the website — hours, categories, photographs and reviews. Gym searches resolve to a map before they resolve to a list of sites. It is free, it takes an afternoon, and it will out-earn the first several months of anything I could sell you.
From £500 for the build and £50 a month for hosting and care. A site with a full class timetable, instructor pages and a membership journey is a bigger job and is quoted after a conversation.
